Here are the details from the 150th Anniversary Book about the preschool written in 2001:
1974 marked the addition of a four-year-old preschool to our curriculum.
The preschool under the direction of Wilma Droegemueller since 1980 was growing by leaps and bounds. In 1981 an additional 3-day program and a 2- day program for 4 year olds was provided. These classes were held in the back basement room of the church that had served as the kitchen before the educational wing was built.
Teacher aides were first hired for the 1987 school year and have continued to be used for the preschool and kindergarten.
Mrs. Droegemueller's preschool program continued to grow. The 1994-1995 school year was the beginning of a two-day preschool class for 3 year olds. By 1996 there were two classes for 4 year olds and one class for 3 year olds. In 1998, an additional class was made avail- able for 2 year olds one afternoon a week.
